With tree lined streets, it's a major attraction for new and growing families. With easy access to downtown and midtown, Leaside is perfectly situated in between large streets but maintains its serene neighbourhood feel. 

Where is Leaside

The Town of Leaside was officially incorporated on April 23 1913. Leaside is situated just south of Sunnybrook Park and east of Bayview. With easy access to downtown by the DVP or the Bayview extension, Leaside is filled with winding streets and provides easy access to Eglinton, Bayview, Millwood and East York while remaining a quiet residential area. 

Schools in Leaside

Local schools are located throughout the neighbourhood with some of the best schools in the city situated within the area. Bessborough Elementary and Middle school along with Northlea Elementary and Middle schools are easily accessible from all parts of the area.

Leaside High School, with strong academic and athletic programs attracts kids from the neighbouring East York communities as well.

Things to do in Leaside

Leaside is a primarily residential neighbourhood which makes it a perfect place to enjoy long walks. Since it is bordering a large park and ravines, there is easy bike and walking paths from the area that can take you right to the Lakeshore if you wish. In addition, the stretch of Bayview avenue flanking Leaside is filled with local restaurants, small quality grocers and interesting neighbourhood shops. This area of Bayview really comes alive after work and during weekends - a great place to grab a gelato or visit your local bakery shop.
